Despite a great deal of misinformation, Islam is the only religion that gave women many rights more than 1400 years ago, at a time when baby girls were buried alive, and women were treated like objects. Islam has always promoted equality between men and women. We thought to bring you some of the verses of the Quran and the sayings of our beloved prophet to showcase the equality Islam grants to both genders.

Women have rights similar to those of men equitably, although men have a degree of responsibility above them.
Quran 2:228
For men there is a share of what they earned, and for women, a share of what they earned.
Quran 4:32
Surely for Muslim men and women, believing men and women, devout men and women, truthful men and women, patient men and women, humble men and women, charitable men and women, fasting men and women, men and women who guard their chastity, and men and women who remember Allah often-for all of them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.
Quran 33:35
The most complete believer in faith is the best in morals, and the best among you is the best to their wives.
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
Whenever one of them is given the good news of a baby girl, his face grows gloomy, as he suppresses his rage. He hides himself from the people because of the bad news he has received. Should he keep her in disgrace, or bury her alive in the ground? Evil indeed is their judgment!
Quran 16:58-59
I will never deny any of you-male or female-the reward of your deeds. Both are equal in reward.
Quran 3:195
The believers, both men and women, are guardians of one another. They encourage good and forbid evil, establish prayer and pay alms-tax, and obey Allah and His Messenger.
Quran 9:71
Your spouses are a garment for you as you are for them.
Quran 2:187
