An-Nahl (The Bee)

The name, An-Nahl, of this Surah has been taken from v. 68. This is merely to distinguish it from other Surahs.

The following internal evidence shows that this Surah was revealed during the last Makkan stage of Prophethood:...

41 clearly shows that persecution had forced some Muslims to emigrate to Habash before the revelation of this Surah....

An-Nahl

The Bee

Playing

أَتَىٰٓ Will come

أَمْرُ (the) command of Allah

ٱللَّهِ (the) command of Allah

فَلَا so (do) not

تَسْتَعْجِلُوهُ (be) impatient for it.

سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ Glorified is He

وَتَعَٰلَىٰ and Exalted (is) He

عَمَّا above what

يُشْرِكُونَ they associate.

Playing

يُنَزِّلُ He sends down

ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ the Angels

بِٱلرُّوحِ with the inspiration

مِنْ of

أَمْرِهِۦ His Command,

عَلَىٰ upon

مَن whom

يَشَآءُ He wills

مِنْ of

عِبَادِهِۦٓ His slaves,

أَنْ that

أَنذِرُوٓا۟ "Warn

أَنَّهُۥ that [He]

لَآ (there is) no

إِلَٰهَ god

إِلَّآ except

أَنَا۠ Me,

فَٱتَّقُونِ so fear Me."

خَلَقَ He created

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens

وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth,

بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth.

تَعَٰلَىٰ Exalted is He

عَمَّا above what

يُشْرِكُونَ they associate.

خَلَقَ He created

ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ the human kind

مِن from

نُّطْفَةٍ a minute quantity of semen

فَإِذَا then behold,

هُوَ he

خَصِيمٌ (is) an opponent

مُّبِينٌ clear.

Playing

وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمَ And the cattle,

خَلَقَهَا He created them

لَكُمْ for you,

فِيهَا in them

دِفْءٌ (is) warmth

وَمَنَٰفِعُ and benefits

وَمِنْهَا and from them

تَأْكُلُونَ you eat.
