It is derived frog the sentence, wa amru-hum shura baina hum, of verse 38, implying thereby that it is a Surah in which the word shura has occurred.

كَذَٰلِكَ Thus

يُوحِىٓ reveals

إِلَيْكَ to you,

وَإِلَى and to

ٱلَّذِينَ those

مِن before you -

قَبْلِكَ before you -

ٱللَّهُ Allah

ٱلْعَزِيزُ the All-Mighty,

ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise.

لَهُۥ To Him

مَا (belong) whatever

فِى (is) in

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens

وَمَا and whatever

فِى (is) in

ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth,

وَهُوَ and He

ٱلْعَلِىُّ (is) the Most High,

ٱلْعَظِيمُ the Most Great.

تَكَادُ Almost

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ the heavens

يَتَفَطَّرْنَ break up

مِن from

فَوْقِهِنَّ above them,

وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ and the Angels

يُسَبِّحُونَ glorify

بِحَمْدِ (the) praise

رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord

وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ and ask for forgiveness

لِمَن for those

فِى on

ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth.

أَلَآ Unquestionably,

إِنَّ indeed,

ٱللَّهَ Allah,

هُوَ He

ٱلْغَفُورُ (is) the Oft-Forgiving,

ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful.
