Al-Waaqia (The Inevitable)

The Surah takes its name from the word al-waqi\`ah of the very first verse.

ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ the Event,

لِوَقْعَتِهَا at its occurrence

كَاذِبَةٌ a denial

رَّافِعَةٌ raising up,

رُجَّتِ will be shaken

ٱلْأَرْضُ the earth

رَجًّا (with) a shaking,
