An-Naazi'aat (Those who drag forth)

It is derived from the word wan-nazi\`at with which the Surah opens.

According to Hadrat Abdullah bin Abbas, this Surah was sent down after Surah An-Naba. Its subject matter also testifies that it belongs to the earliest period at Makkah....

Its theme is affirmation of Resurrection and the life hereafter; It also warns of the consequences of belying the Messenger of God....

An-Naazi'aat

Those who drag forth

Playing

وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ By those who extract

غَرْقًا violently,

An-Naazi'aat

Those who drag forth

Playing

وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ And those who draw out

نَشْطًا gently,

An-Naazi'aat

Those who drag forth

Playing

وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ And those who glide

سَبْحًا swimming,

An-Naazi'aat

Those who drag forth

Playing

فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ And those who race each other

سَبْقًا (in) a race,

An-Naazi'aat

Those who drag forth

Playing

فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ And those who arrange

أَمْرًا (the) matter.
